"Spike?" Rukia asks, curiosity piqued at the singling out of a single person for a gift. Chances are that there might be romance involved, which always seems to complicate everything else touched by it — gifts, interactions, even so much as the tone of voice that people use with one another. Rukia's still not sure that she'll ever be able to figure out where exactly she stands with Ichigo, even. (But that might have been complicated long before their kiss.)
